Itinerary

Stop At: Aguas Claras Visitor Center -  also called the Third Set of Locks Project, doubled the capacity of the Panama Canal by adding a new lane of traffic allowing for a larger number of ships, and increasing the width and depth of the lanes and locks allowing larger ships to pass. The new ships, called New Panamax, are about one and a half times the previous Panamax size and can carry over twice as much cargo.

Entrance fee is $15 per person and it is NOT included in your tour price.  Duration: 60 Minutes Admission Ticket Free

Stop At:  Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador)  - Built in 1913, with rocks from the excavation of the Culebra Cut during construction of the Panama Canal, the Causeway joins Panama City with four islands: Naos, Perico, Culebra and Flamenco. The site was part of a US military complex called Fort Amador that had established to protect the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Currently, vestiges of the military installations can be seen on the islands.

Stop At:  Casco Viejo  - is a charming neighborhood along the southwestern edge of Panama City. It was the second site of Panama City (the first being Panamá Viejo), was the city center until the early 20th century, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Casco Viejo has undergone restoration projects since the 1990s and they’re beginning to pay off. These days the neighborhood has a romantic, almost artsy feel that makes it a pleasant place to stroll and explore. Here you can by something to eat like a Sandwich or Snacks.

Pass By:  Cinta Costera  - Avenida Balboa Is Now Known As The Coastal Belt (Cinta Costera) The Republic of Panama has recently created what is known as the Coastal Belt (Cinta Coastera) - The Costal Belt runs right along the Pacific Ocean in Panama City Panama - from the Piatilla neighborhood to the very large fishmarket. It is actually now possible to hike and/or bike from Paitilla to the fishmarket and actually the pathway now even continues right through the fishmarket on to Casco Antiguo. The Coastal Belt has ten (10) traffic lanes - 6 lanes one way to the west and 4 lanes one way heading to the east.
